For those of us who are mildly but
not
wildly adventurous, these tours are
designed for all of the gain and less of the
pain. We
 were able to
experience the depth and history of the Grand
Canyon with a Naturalist on board to tell us what marvels we were looking
at. We were thrilled by the roller-coaster waves without feeling terrified.
We camped each night on tiny, pristine beaches by the river. The first
night we zipped up our tents for security. The second night the zippers were
wide open and after that most of us slept under the
stars.
We have been on an expeditionary canoe trip to
Costa Rica, enjoying a look at Arenal Volcano and canoeing down the Rio
Arenal, the Rio Frio, the Tres Amigos and the Sarapiqui.
We recently returned to enjoy more of the exotic wildlife, the tranquil lodges this time
with the added excitement of exploring the Archipelago of Solentiname, a
small group of 36 islands situated in the fresh waters of the great Lake
of Nicaragua . Click here for a report on

...Of course every adventure pussycat needs some
indulging from time to time: The next "Spas For
Pussycats" retreat will take us to be pampered in Arlington
Texas.... (sorry guys, no Tomcats on this one!)
